Located in Geelong, southwest of Melbourne, this home studio is specifically designed to cater face-to-face requirements of Guqin learning.

In Chinese tradition, teaching by asking students to mimic the teacher's movement as well as musical interpretation is more important than reading and playing according to the scores.  Guqin scores are mostly too vague for one to follow, unlike the western music.  Therefore the process for the teacher to pass down techniques as well as musical arrangement verbally plus demonstration becomes critical in Guqin learning.  This process is also known as 口傳心授 (" oral teaching that inspires true understanding within ").  The way student mimicing teacher is known as 對彈 ("Mirrored play").
